Clarity of Mind Meditation

images-2

I was looking out the window at the rain pouring down and immediately grabbed a sweater, pulled on my Uggs and turned up the heater. I didn’t have time to think about it. It was the obvious choice in the situation. I knew it and I took immediate appropriate action, a no-brainer on my part. Now when a bigger play in life’s decisions happen, like between do I stay with my current job or take a risk and move on, that decision gets seriously stressful and time consuming. As I ponder the situation and view all the alternative scenarios in my mind, I suddenly get confused, hit stalemate, procrastinate and do nothing. I stay in the same job until this scenario of, “Do I stay with my current job that I do not like or take a risk and move on?” plays on into infinity and beyond. It is a given that this life decision is much more complicated than just keeping myself warm, but wouldn’t it be nice if I had a tool to help me have clarity of mind?

How do I find that clarity of mind to make the right decision? I find that this simple clarity of mind meditation is very helpful. First of all, I remember that I am not alone in this situation and that there have been many people before me who have made it thru to the other side and chose wisely. This gives me confidence that I am actually capable of making a right decision.

I become aware of fear, procrastination, and all negative thinking in general and stop what I am doing.

I take a few deep breaths in thru my nose for the count of three and let out thru my mouth for the count of four,  I close my eyes, and I center myself while focusing on the breath. I let go with each breath.

I then focus on the question and actually ask it either in my mind or say it out loud. “Should I stay with my current job or take a risk and move on?”

I then proceed to listen. The meditation is simple. I don’t ask anymore questions and I let all the thoughts and pictures of my mind float by like an observer to it all. I listen again and become more quiet, like a still pond of water.

During the process of meditation, I turn off my thinking like turning off a light switch and immediately switch on the receiving clarity of mind switch.

I assume that I will receive the right answer to my question. I always do.

I know when I have found my clarity of mind to make the right decision because it feels good, it feels right deep in my gut, like a sense of knowing.

I give thanks for clarity of mind.

I open my eyes.

This is like exercising a clarity of mind muscle and it just takes practice for the process to quicken.

TRUSTING IN YOUR PSYCHIC ABILITIES

Usually the first time that I meet someone, and they find out that I have been a professional psychic for the past twenty years they invariably ask me, “Can you read my mind right now?” and/or “Is everyone psychic?”  There seems to be some general confusion mixed with a little fear and curiosity about knowing if I can truly read their mind?  Is everyone  a psychic?  By the way, what is a psychic?

So, I thought it might be good to simply take a look at, first of all, what is a psychic?  According to Wikipedia:  A psychic (pron.: /ˈsaɪkɪk/; from the Greek ψυχικός psychikos—”of the mind, mental”) is a person who claims to have an ability to perceive information hidden from the normal senses throughextrasensory perception (ESP), or who is said by others to have such abilities. The word “psychic” is also used to describe theatrical performers, such as stage magicians, who use techniques such asprestidigitation, cold reading, and hot reading to produce the appearance of such abilities. It can also denote an ability of the mind to influence the world physically using psychokinetic powers such as those formerly claimed by Uri Geller.

What is psychic ability?  According to The Encyclopedic Psychic Dictionary by June G. Bletzer, Ph.D., psychic ability is to sense, to understand, to interpret, and to use for practical purposes, a force that enters in and emanates out of the body and mind without the use of the five senses; force is sensed in the CONSCIOUS MIND and SOUL-MIND, hands, and SOLAR-PLEXUS; is projected out of same; ability can be accomplished through the strong emotion of DESIRE, study, and practice or can be inborn and brought under control with practice.

YES!  Everyone is psychic and you can trust in your psychic abilities.

Everyone has an innate ability to be more psychic if they so desire.  We have examples of using our psychic abilities every day, such as,  simply  knowing when the phone rings who that someone is on the other end of the line before you answer your phone, and/or  when you have a gut instinct that someone you love is in trouble because you “feel it” and/or  that someone needs your help without asking you, because you “know it” deep down inside,  and the list goes on and on.

One of my favorite true stories proving the use of  my psychic abilities goes like this:   A long day ago, my husband at the time and I were meeting a couple for dinner for a business meeting.  We had previously arranged to meet the couple at a certain time and at our favorite restaurant.  When we all arrived at the restaurant the waiter showed us to our usual “table with the view.”  After we had all sat down and began to order our drinks, I had this deep urge in the middle of my stomach and an ultra strong idea in the middle of my head that said very loudly, “Don’t sit at this table!”  So, trusting in my psychic abilities,  I asked the waiter, “Could we have another table, please?”  The waiter along with my husband and friends seemed confused and a little put off to change tables since everyone had already been served drinks and had been  discussing the Chef’s tantalizing entrees for the evening.  So, we were inconveniently ushered across to the far side of the  restaurant and sat at another table.  No more than  20 minutes later, a large old truck came wildly crashing through the window and smashing the “table with the view” into smithereens  and eventually landed on top of the bar shattering glass and smoking up the entire restaurant. No one was hurt and we were safe.   We saw on the eleven o’clock news that night,  that apparently the driver had a stroke and lost control of his truck. I did follow my psychic ability that night and it was a good thing because it saved all of our lives! Yes, this is a true story.

So, do we know if we are psychic?  Everyone is psychic and has psychic abilities.  It depends on if you are aware of it and how much you chose to use it or not. That doesn’t make everyone a good psychicor even a professional psychic,  that is another story.   Trusting your psychic abilities  is like exercising a muscle that exists.  The more you use it the better the abilities get with practice.

Can I read your mind when I first meet you? You bet I can!

I don’t and I wouldn’t ever read your mind first without asking permission to do so because that would be downright wrong and disrespectful of your space.  I usually tell people, when they ask me if, ” I read their mind?”  Just for fun, that, “I already, had read their mind while we were talking  and there wasn’t much there.”  Then we both laugh and that seems to take the edge off and we can continue our conversation.
